Two more hybrids, designed around our patented
injection system, are ready for testing. One uses a 50 cm length Polyethylene
fuel block with a cylindrical port, the other uses a 60 cm length asphalt
block with a star-shaped port geometry (for max. fuel regression and max.
initial burning surface).

The bigger engine is, to our knowledge, the biggest hybrid ever built in Germany to this date.

Both engines will use LOX as oxydiser and are fully constructed from composites. This includes the convergent / divergent /expansion nozzle. While those will definitely not be reusable, we have altered the construction such that we expect them to last well through the test fireing of 60 and 45 sec, respectively.
Test is now scheduled to take place on September 11th.
We will give a progress report and test results
on this page.
